Into January

Well, it is well into January of 2011 and we are having boucoup rain today but that is okay because I like rain. A rainy day is very relaxing. We are continuing to recover from our accident. My vision is not quite up to snuf yet but I am hoping that it will continue to improve. I continue to try to keep my New Year’s resolutions. I think the key is not to make them too complicated.
I started to make one that I would write more to my blog but was afraid that I would not keep it.
I have been talking on my ham radio some and working some pretty good dx. It is enjoyable and something to occupy your mind.
I also was able to go to a Sacred Harp singing for the first time in a long time. Last Sunday Bill Aplin had a little singing at Traveler’s Rest in Samson Al and it turned out to be very good and I enjoyed it very much. I told someone that it was better than a whole sackful of medicine. When I got up to lead I told them that I was going to quote Bill Aplin, ” They thought that they were going to be slow walking and singing sad songs for a while.”
