Today is exactly two months since Ellen and my automobile accident. Like “Gilligan’s Island” we left home for a three hour trip and didn’t get back for five weeks. We were pulling a trailor with a bobcat lawn mower on it. The last thing I can remember is about two miles from the accident site on the “Will McSween” Road. The rest is what someone told me because I had a severe concussion or TBI. I can sympathize with those who have been through that especially the service people in the war.
We came up to the intersection of Roy Parker Road and US 231. Waited for the traffic light to turn green and then pulled out to cross highway 231. A Ryder truck the size of the largest rental truck came over the hill. It was loaded with 200 pound truck tires and was going about 70 miles per hour. It Tboned us just forward of my, the driver’s door. Then the car and truck rotated and the trailer slammed use again and we flew through the air and ended up in a deep ditch. Fortunate for us the Ozark Police were at the intersection and radioed in emergency call. Ellen was awake and exerienced the whole thing. Maybe I was fortunate to be out. I woke up In FLOWERS Hospital nearly a week later .
